The Boise bakery opened in November, 1982 at its current location on Fairview Avenue between Orchard and Curtis Streets. We are locally owned & operated and going on 31 years of business in the Treasure Valley! When you step in our bakery, you will find the sights and sounds of an old fashioned, from scratch, family owned whole grain bakery. We have an onsite stone flour mill that grinds our high protein Montana red spring wheat into fresh flour everyday. Fresh ground flour is an important step to better tasting, wholesome whole grain breads. We use local honey from a beekeeper in Emmett, Idaho in our breads instead of cane syrup (sugar) or corn syrup. Real honey enhances the flavor of our whole grain breads and gives them a unique, robust flavor. Among other benefits, honey keeps whole wheat breads fresher longer without using preservatives or additives like you will find in breads at the local grocery store. In fact, most of our breads have only 5 basic ingredients. Come taste the difference!
Everyday breads and treats come out of the oven fresh and often still warm when you walk through the doors between 6 am and noon. See our menu on this website for details about our variety of breads and bakery treats as well as made to order sandwiches. For the best selection of todays bread bake, the best time to come by is after 12:00 daily. For freshness reasons, our breads are only sold out of our bakery location.
